Vision therapy & binocular vision assessment in Chennai

An assessment of how your eyes work together — focusing, eye teaming and eye movements — and vision therapy where it is suitable.

Common reasons people book an assessment

  • Eye strain while reading
  • Losing your place while reading
  • Double vision during close work
  • Avoiding near tasks
  • Headaches after screen use

This list is not a diagnosis.

What happens at your appointment

  1. 1

We call to confirm the place, time and fee.

  2. 2

We ask about the difficulties you or your child notice, and when they happen.

  3. 3

A binocular vision assessment checks focusing, eye teaming and eye movements.

  4. 4

We explain the findings. If vision therapy is suitable, we explain how a program is planned and reviewed.

Before and after

Before: the eyes are not aligned and point in slightly different directions.
After vision therapy: both eyes look straight ahead together.

Treated with vision therapy

Squint (strabismus)

A structured program of eye exercises, guided by the optometrist, to improve how the eyes work together. Whether it can help depends on the type of squint, so an assessment comes first.

Each case is one person's experience. What non-surgical care can do depends on the type and cause of the condition, so an assessment comes first — and we'll tell you if surgery or hospital care is the better route.
